Shhhhhhhh...

This is my apron for the Sassy Apron Swap. I tried to stick to colors my partner talked about, but I didn't do so good. Well, actually I did just fine picking out fabric I think my partner will like until I saw this green watermelon print and fell in love. I was planning on making this one for myself, first just to make sure it would come out ok. It was to be a practice run, but now I think I'm running out of time with school work being to pile up. So, this may be the apron I send. The theme is summer so this fits. Hopefully though, this coming weekend I will have time to *whip up* this apron in the fabric meant for my partner. Should go much faster the next time since I'll know what I'm doing. This was the first time in a long time I've followed any pattern of some sort and took a little bit of brain power to see how everything was going to come together. Yay for being a beginning sewer! (sorry, for the rambling post!)

PS. Shhhh... don't tell my partner. This is a surprise swap.

  1. gorgeous! I love the colours! I'm sure your partner will love it. I hope mine is well received also...it's a bit nerve-racking and exciting at the same time hey.
good luck. I hope the one you receive is just as gorgeous.

  2. I love the watermelon apron. So far, i've tried out my sewing machine on a pair of pajama pants for my mom. They looked like MC Hammer pants, but she pretended to like them anyway. That's what moms are for.

  3. Hi Megan...this is Lorrie, your Sassy Apron Swap partner (at least I hope you are, how embarrassing if you are not!). The apron is so darn cute and perfect for me. I'm only 4' 11" and it fits me perfectly. I just really can't tell you how that apron is "me". Thank you for all your hard work on it and I'm afraid I don't want to get my towel dirty....lol. Thank you...thank you...thank you.
