Ever since I got a journal for my birthday the year I was in first grade, I have been trying to capture the stories of my life. Even before then, stories have been how I connect with and make sense of the world. I discovered and fell in love with the world of modern quilting in 2009 when a fabric line and the story it told caught my eye. 

Let's get technical.

As a public health researcher for the last 16 years, I have developed detail-oriented processes for understanding and telling stories with numbers. Editing, for clarity, accuracy, and consistency, has played a vital role in my work. I am excited to bring these skills together with my love of quilting.

Working with me as your quilt pattern technical editor, you can expect a five-business-day turnaround time; however, faster turnaround times may be available for an additional fee. As I grow my client base, I will provide quick and honest responses regarding my availability. 

Technical editing includes a thorough review of your quilt pattern:

• General editing for grammar, clarity of written instructions, and diagrams
• Confirming yardage requirements and construction methods
• Consistency and accuracy of all quilt math
• Copy editing suggestions that are mindful of your voice as the pattern writer
